This impressive, completely automatic machine, the only one of its kind, has been engineered for the production of ECOPOTS® with specific features for each plant.

Each plant will be assigned the soil best suited to it in order to achieve optimal root development and hence fast resumption of vegetative growth.

Depositing of soil

The soil is deposited in a large-sized container for airing purposes.

Biodegradable fiber

A special biodegradable fiber with a high amalgamating capacity is used.

Soil mixture

Soil and fiber are then mixed together.

Hole-boring phase

The mixture thus obtained is poured in round moulds of different diameters.
A small hole is made in the centre to receive the cutting to be rooted.

Steam tunnel

Together the above elements are passed through a steam tunnel and heated at a temperature of approx 90°C. The mixture is sterilized against every form of disease and the fibre melts to blend with the soil, making the plug of earth compact but not too closely packed.

Removal of Ecopot®

This delicate procedure gives rise to the cylinders of earth which provide nutrients to the roots in the ECOPOT©.

Finished Ecopot®

These features in combination with the innovative shape of the holes in the boxes where it is placed ensure optimal ventilation, which in turn enhances root development.
